Fans Pick up Stranded Dave Matthews on Way to Concert

Musician Dave Matthews hitched a lift with a fan to his show in Pennsylvania on Saturday after a tire on his bike was punctured.

The Dave Matthews Band front-man went out for a pre-show cycle before the gig at Hersheypark Stadium, but he was left stranded by the side of the road after the bike's back wheel deflated.

Concert-goer Emily Kraus and her boyfriend spotted the star and gave him a ride to the show. Matthews was so thankful he invited them to dinner and offered them front row seats.

Re-counting the story to fans at the concert, Matthews revealed, "I did not have a cell phone  on the bicycle... and then a nice lady named Emily rode up in a red car with a bicycle rack on it and gave me a ride on to the gig."

In a post on CBS 21 News' Facebook.com page, Kraus adds, "My cheeks still hurt from smiling, giggling and laughing all night long... this will always be remembered."
