Justin Timberlake & Sir Paul McCartney To Take Over Hollywood Next Week

Justin Timberlake and Sir Paul McCartney have lined up back-to-back free concerts in the heart of Hollywood for comedian Jimmy Kimmel's late-night TV show.

The former Beatles star will shut down Hollywood Boulevard for an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday and Timberlake will hit the same street stage the following night.

A quarter-mile stretch of the fabled boulevard will be closed down for the two free concerts.

Paul McCartney Releases "New" Single and Announces New Album Due in October

Paul McCartney has released the first single (and title track) from his upcoming 16th solo album, ‘New.’  Speaking about the New track, Paul said: "We can do what we want, we can live as we choose."



Produced by Mark Ronson, ‘New’ offers fans their first glimpse of the record we’ve been hearing rumblings of throughout 2013. Earlier this summer, McCartney’s drummer, Abraham Laboriel, Jr., described the songs he’d been working on as incorporating “a lot of different styles. It’s very youthful — aggressively rock at times, and singer-songwriter, insular and intimate, at others.” Laboriel’s comments came on the heels of an interview with Ronson, who said of McCartney, “He’s done every kind of music. He invented the rule book in several different ways. I don’t know if [our music] is revolutionary, but they’re brilliant songs. I just tried to give him a sound he was looking for.”

Sir Paul McCartney, Tom Hanks And Rita Wilson Will Lead A Celebrity Cast At The Shakespeare Center Of Los Angeles 23rd Annual Simply Shakespeare

The Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles (SCLA) presents its 23rd Annual Simply Shakespeare benefit reading of "The Two Gentlemen of Verona," September 25, 2013 at The Broad Stage, Santa Monica. The evening will feature a star-studded cast including Sir Paul McCartney, Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson and William Shatner. Additional participants will be announced. Simply Shakespeare features a hilarious and entertaining evening of impromptu Shakespeare and song. All proceeds from the event support the SCLA and its arts based veterans employment and youth employment programs for inner-city youth and arts education in local schools.



Simply Shakespeare previous all-star casts have included Tim Allen, Annette Bening, Kenneth Branagh, Jackson Browne, Billy Crystal, Sally Field, Kelsey Grammer, Neil Patrick Harris, Faith Hill, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Kate Hudson,Helen Hunt, Lisa Kudrow, Lyle Lovett, Steve Martin, Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw, Matthew Perry, David Hyde Pierce, Jada Pinkett Smith, Keanu Reeves, Julia Roberts, Ray Romano, William Shatner, Martin Sheen, Martin Short, Will Smith, Robin Williams and Renee Zellweger.

Paul McCartney Smells Weed On Stage At Bonnaroo

Sir Paul McCartney stopped his set at Tennessee's Bonnaroo festival on Friday June 13 when he smelled marijuana smoke coming from the audience.


The Beatles legend headlined the Bonnaroo music festival on Friday night and played a hit-packed 38-song set and two encores for the delighted crowd.


However, the veteran musician stopped mid-way through the show when he caught a whiff of what he believed to be a cannabis joint coming from the audience.


McCartney insisted the smoke was so strong, he could smell it on stage, telling the crowd, "That's some pretty good weed I can smell up here... Whew! What are you doing to me."


During his performance, McCartney also played his hit Back in the USSR and voiced his support for jailed Russian punk stars Pussy Riot, whose members are serving time for performing a protest song in a Moscow church.


Reunited rap stars Wu-Tang Clan were also among the acts to perform on Friday, while other acts still to play over the weekend include Jack Johnson, who has stepped up to replace Mumford & Sons following the cancellation of their Saturday night set. The band pulled out after their bassist, Ted Dwane, was hospitalised for brain surgery.
