Madame Tussauds Hollywood Unveils Dorothy Figure at Star Studded 75th Anniversary of Oz (Photos)

On Sunday, September 15th at TCL Chinese Theatre, Madame Tussauds Hollywood unveiled their new Dorothy figure, as played by Judy Garland, for the IMAX 3D premiere celebrating the 75th Anniversary of The Wizard of Oz.



The figure can be seen in the Hollywood attraction beginning September 19th. Many celebrities attended the event including Rico Rodriguez, Ariel Winter, Mario Lopez, Molly Ringwald and Kevin Sorbo.

Robert Pattinson: I'm the Only Actor in Hollywood Without a Six-Pack

Robert Pattinson is one of Hollywood’s reigning hunks, but the self-deprecating actor doesn’t think much of his physique and could never be accused of working out obsessively like so many other actors. The good news is, he’s thinking about hitting the gym.



Rob, 27, had several shirtless scenes in the “Twilight” film saga, although he candidly admits that his prominent abs were spray-painted on for some of those.



And, he says he probably pays a price for not being in the best shape.



“I think I don’t get some jobs because I don’t go to the gym,” he tells the Arabian edition of Harper’s Bazaar in a new interview. “I am literally the only actor in LA who doesn’t have a six-pack,” he says. “Although I am going to have to change that.”



His post-roles “Twilight,” roles are increasingly involving intimate scenes, and that’s providing the motivation to hit the gym.



“In my next film I have like three intimate scenes so I am literally thinking of those to get in shape,” he explains. But it won’t change his aversion to exercising.

Photos of Marilyn Monroe's Last Sitting For Sale

A rare portfolio of photographs from Marilyn Monroe's last sitting is up for grabs to the highest bidder.

Freeman's auction house in Philadelphia says the limited-edition portfolio of 10 photos goes on the block Sept. 10. The photos were made from fashion photographer Bert Stern's original negatives from his June 1962 assignment for Vogue.

Monroe died six weeks later.

The head of the century-old auction house's photography division says the photos will be on view starting Sept. 6. The auction house estimates the portfolio could fetch $10,000 to $15,000.

Stern took more than 2,500 photos of the Hollywood icon over three days at Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles. The 20-by-20-inch portfolio photos are from the first day.

A&E Indie Films Partners with Mike Myers on His Directorial Debut SUPERMENSCH

   

Okay, now this peaks my interest.  Any  fan of 70s rock music and more notably, Alice Cooper knows the name Shep Gordon. For those of you who don't know, he  is the Coop's longtime  manager and good friend.  Hey, he and Alice were always cool to me whenever I needed  an interview or a quick quote  for a story or two.   I can't wait to see when this documentary  airs on A&E as it is also Myers directorial debut which makes it  even more interesting to me. A&E IndieFilms, the Academy Award-nominated feature documentary production arm of A&E Network, has partnered with Emmy-winning multi-hyphenate Mike Myers on the new feature documentary, Supermensch, chronicling the life of ground-breaking talent manager Shep Gordon. 

In 1991, music manager Shep Gordon held Mike Myers over a barrel a few weeks before shooting “Wayne’s World” regarding an Alice Cooper song Myers wanted to use in the film. They have been close friends ever since. 22 years later, the story of Gordon’s legendary life in the uber fast lane is now told in Myers’ directorial debut. And this time it’s Myers who has Gordon over a barrel.

Shep Gordon is the consummate Hollywood insider. Though he isn’t a household name, Gordon has become a beacon in the industry, beloved by the countless stars he has encountered throughout his storied career. Shep is known for managing the careers of Alice Cooper as well as stints with Blondie, Luther Vandross and Raquel Welch, among others – a career that began with a chance encounter in 1968 with Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix. He even found time to invent the “Celebrity Chef.” Though the chef as star is part of the culture now, it took Shep's imagination, and his moral outrage at how the chefs were being treated, to monetize the culinary arts into the multi-billion dollar industry it is today.
