Selena Gomez Cuts Interview Short Over Justin Bieber Question

Pop star Selena Gomez cut short an interview with a U.S. reporter after he asked about her relationship with troubled singer Justin Bieber.

The singer/actress was chatting to correspondent Dean Richards on America's WGN Entertainment network on Monday when he mentioned Bieber's recent headline-grabbing antics.

He said, "You're... probably as close a friend to Justin Bieber as they come. Is there something about him that we don't get or we don't understand? I mean, there is one story after another of... pretty outrageous behaviour that we're reading about."

Gomez, who was appearing on the show via videolink, refused to answer the question and looked off camera to an aide, before the screen suddenly went blank.

The brunette recently sparked fresh reports of a reconciliation with the Baby hitmaker after previously splitting last year.

Bieber has hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons in recent months, showing up hours late for several gigs and falling out with his neighbors in California, while he has also faced allegations he spat in a DJ's face and urinated in a restaurant's mop bucket.

Cher, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez and Pitbull to perform on 'Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular'

NBC just added Cher, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez and Pitbull to its lineup of performers on the "Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular" airing Thursday at 8 p.m. ET with an encore at 10 p.m.

They join previously announced performers Mariah Carey ("American Idol") and country singer Tim McGraw. Carey's husband, "America's Got Talent" host Nick Cannon, will host the two-hour special.

Cher also recently performed on the season finale of NBC's "The Voice" and appeared on sister cable network Bravo's late night talk show, "Watch What Happens Live." Her upcoming album, "Woman's World," is out on September 24.

Swift is currently touring North America in support of her album, "Red." Gomez is promoting her newly released album, "Stars Dance," and is set to start a tour in August. Pitbull's single with Christina Aguilera, "Feel This Moment," is a Top 10 hit.

With more than 40,000 fireworks, the show is the largest pyrotechnics display in the United States. This year, Usher ("The Voice") will lend his artistic vision to the show as its first superstar collaboration.

Justin Bieber Bans Selena Gomez Music From Photoshoot Set

Pop star Justin Bieber has banned music by his on/off girlfriend Selena Gomez from his photoshoot playlist.

The couple split late last year (12), but rumours of a romantic reunion emerged in March (13) after Bieber paid a visit to Gomez's Los Angeles home, and in April (13) she flew out to Norway to support the 19 year old during his European tour.

The stars have since reaffirmed their single status and now Bieber has forbidden staffers from playing any of the beauty's music in his presence.

Editors at TMZ.com have obtained a copy of one of the superstar's riders, which forbids personnel from asking for photographs, speaking to Bieber and blasting any tunes recorded by his ex during photoshoots.

The document also lists items to be included in the pop hunk's dressing room, such as a large pack of Swedish Fish candies and two pairs of white socks.
